Pointed North Siberian Cattery in Newcastle, Ontario, is dedicated to providing healthy Siberian kittens to loving homes. Our cattery not only offers Siberian kittens but also educates about the breed, ensuring a seamless transition for our kittens into their new families. We take pride in showcasing our beautiful Queens and kittens and provide detailed health checks and vaccination records for each of our kittens.
SIBERIAN CAT BREED & ALLERGIES
The Siberian is a natural breed from Russia, known for its strong build, long triple coat, and friendly nature. Siberians are intelligent, playful, and people-oriented. They enjoy spending time with their families and usually do well with children, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs.
Siberian cats produce lower levels of Fel d 1, the primary protein responsible for most cat allergies. While no cat is completely hypoallergenic, many people with cat allergies experience fewer to no symptoms with the breed.
However, people with severe cat allergies may still have reactions unless they are matched with a kitten that produces exceptionally low levels of Fel d 1.
If you have severe cat allergies, please contact us before reserving a kitten. Fel d 1 testing can be performed at approximately 14 weeks of age to identify kittens with the lowest allergen levels and help determine the best match for your family.
