About Pointed North Siberian Cattery
Pointed North Siberian Cattery is an Ontario, Canada–based Siberian cat breeder dedicated to raising healthy, well-socialized Siberian kittens for loving families. With a lifelong love and experience with cats, we understand the importance of responsible breeding, proper health care, and finding the right home for every kitten.
Our journey with the Siberian cat breed is also personal. Our son has experienced cat allergies, which led us to discover the Siberian breed and its reputation as a lower-allergen, hypoallergenic cat breed. Siberian cats can produce lower levels of Fel d 1, the primary allergen associated with cats. While no cat is completely hypoallergenic and individual allergies vary, many allergy-sensitive families find Siberians to be a more suitable companion.
Beyond their potential allergy benefits, Siberians are known for their exceptional loving and affectionate temperament. They are intelligent, playful, social, and devoted to their families while maintaining an independent personality. This unique combination makes the Siberian an excellent choice for those looking for an affectionate yet independent companion.
Responsible Siberian Cat Breeding
At Pointed North, we believe responsible breeding means looking beyond appearance. As a Siberian cattery in Newcastle, Ontario, we have a responsibility to help maintain a healthy and genetically sound lineage for future generations.
Our breeding program focuses on carefully selected Queens and Studs, responsible pairing decisions, pedigree research, health testing, veterinary care, and ongoing education. We use TICA (The International Cat Association) resources and breeding standards, along with guidance from veterinary professionals and established health-testing resources, to make informed decisions throughout our breeding program.
Our goal is to produce healthy Siberian kittens with excellent temperaments, while preserving the wonderful characteristics that make the Siberian breed so special.
Healthy, Well-Socialized Siberian Kittens
Every kitten at Pointed North receives attentive care from birth and is monitored throughout their development. Our kittens receive appropriate veterinary health checks, vaccinations, and health records before going to their new families. The kittens are socialized with other adult cats and with a small dog.
We also believe that responsible breeding includes educating prospective owners. We provide information about the Siberian breed, kitten care, nutrition, health, temperament, and the transition into a new home, helping families understand what to expect when bringing home a Siberian kitten.
From our beautiful Siberian Queens and Studs to each kitten we raise, our priority is the health, well-being, and future of our cats.
TICA Registered Cattery
Pointed North Siberian Cattery is TICA registered, reflecting our commitment to responsible Siberian Cat breeding and maintaining accurate pedigrees. TICA, The International Cat Association, is one of the world’s largest genetic cat registries and provides breed standards, registration services, educational resources, and guidelines for breeders.
For Pointed North, TICA registration is an important part of maintaining the heritage and lineage of our Siberian Cats. We use pedigree information and TICA resources alongside veterinary care and appropriate health testing to make informed breeding decisions and support the development of healthy, well-socialized Siberian kittens.
Pointed North Siberian Cattery is committed to responsible Siberian cat breeding in Ontario, healthy bloodlines, quality kitten care, and helping families find a loving Siberian companion to share their lives with.
