Siberian cats - a hypoallergenic cat breed

The Siberian cat is a natural breed originating in Russia, known for its powerful build, luxurious long triple coat, intelligence, and affectionate personality. Siberians are playful, curious, and people-oriented, forming strong bonds with their families while maintaining the independent nature typical of the breed.
Their adaptable temperament makes Siberian cats wonderful family companions. They generally enjoy being involved in family life and can do well with children, other cats, and cat-friendly dogs when properly introduced and socialized.

Are Siberian Cats Hypoallergenic?
One of the qualities that makes the Siberian particularly appealing is its reputation as a lower-allergen, hypoallergenic cat breed. Siberian cats may produce lower levels of Fel d 1, the primary cat allergen responsible for most allergic reactions. However, no cat is completely hypoallergenic, and allergen levels can vary considerably from one individual cat to another.
For some people with cat allergies, living with a Siberian may result in significantly fewer symptoms. However, individuals with severe cat allergies can still experience reactions, so choosing a kitten should be approached carefully.

At Pointed North Siberian Cattery, we understand that finding the right Siberian kitten can be especially important for allergy-sensitive families.

If you have moderate to severe cat allergies, we encourage you to contact Pointed North before reserving a kitten. We can discuss your allergy concerns and help you make a more informed decision when selecting a Siberian kitten for your family.

Discover why the Siberian is loved for its combination of affectionate temperament, intelligence, beauty, and lower allergen levels.
